Landless Women mobilize against agribusiness in MT
With a program focused on training, the Landless Women's Day of Struggle aims to denounce the setbacks that affect federal and state public policies.
About 500 Landless Women have been mobilized since March 6 in Cuiabá, capital of Mato Grosso for the Day of Struggle of the Landless Women.
The activity that began with an opening mística reaffirmed this year's motto of struggles: "We Are All Awake. Against Capital and Agribusiness. No one with less rights!."
The discussion was attended by representatives of working class struggle, such as Rosa Lucia from the Popular Consultation, Marli from the Syndicate of Workers in Public Education in Mato Grosso (Sintep), Janini from the Popular Youth Rising, Ligia from Favela Ativa and Lucineia (MST).
According to the MST's Lucineia, "the struggle of the workers guaranteed social rights, such as the right to Social Security, but Capital - which transforms everything into a commodity -, that put an end to these rights. Therefore, our challenge is to be awake and ready for the permanent struggle together with the countryside and the city."
With a program focused on training with cultural activities and mobilizations throughout the country, the Day of Struggles of Women without Land aims to denounce the setbacks that affect federal and state public policies.
