On March 14, 2018, Marielle Franco and Anderson Gomes were gunned down on the streets of Rio de Janeiro. On April 14, 2018, a determined group of landless workers began an occupation of unproductive land on the rolling green hills near Campinas, São Paulo state. MST adopts the FORTALEZA MANIFESTO
